Who is she

The artist was born in 1988 in Hohhot, China. She currently works in Düsseldorf, Germany, while traveling regularly to Shanghai for her artistic practice. In 2011, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Art and Pedagogy in China. She later continued her studies at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, where she completed her Master’s degree (german Diplom) in 2019 and was awarded the title of "Meisterschülerin"(Master Student) under Professor Andreas Schulze.

Her paintings draw from the forms of nature that surround us, integrating them with her own sensibility to create a quiet, grounded presence. Her work consistently explores the relationships between art and nature, perception, and human experience. For her, painting is not only a visual expression but also an inner practice. Through layers of color, she creates a quiet and steady atmosphere that allows viewers to experience calm and balance and to enter a space of reflection.

She is particularly focused on the concept of perceptual power and regards it as the driving force of her practice. Although physics has not yet proven its existence, she believes that one day it may be revealed, just as gravity was once confirmed. Based on this idea she has named her overall creative process "AETHER". The term originated in physics as a hypothesis before gravity was proven and is now more often used in philosophy, which corresponds closely to her artistic thinking. She perceives the quiet and balanced qualities of nature through perceptual power and seeks to present this sensed force in her paintings. In her view, nature, the artist, and the viewer form a continuous cycle of connection.

Her work arises from a sensitive connection with nature and seeks to translate this intuitive experience into painting. Aesthetics, in her understanding, is not something to be explained but a primal instinct, an immediate human response to what is seen and felt. Her paintings aim to evoke this instinct, guiding viewers through intuition and emotion into a space of resonance where art becomes an echo of perception and presence. This exploration also extends to her collaborative practice. From 2019 to 2021 she co-founded the artist group 18/19 with three painters and installation artists from different countries. Together they organized exhibitions and cross-cultural dialogues that encouraged new artistic exchange and creation in diverse contexts. These experiences expanded her artistic perspective and continue to provide inspiration and momentum for her ongoing work.
